Fun & Faith
At St Richard’s, we believe that children and young people are really special, and we try to do all that we can to welcome them, provide fun activities for them, to teach them about our faith, as well as seeing them flourish.
Many families attend our 10:30am service on Sundays, and children aged 4-11 can attend Sunday clubs for their age group while their parents/carers worship in the main service. Many more children and young people attend the weekly groups, which meet during term time and cater for every age group.
We also run an annual holiday club, which is normally in the first full week of the summer holidays, which around 150 children and young people attend. We also run shorter holiday clubs for Halloween and Good Friday.
Explorers (7-11s)
Tuesdays, 6:00-7:15 pm
Explorers is a lively club for primary school children in years 3-6 which runs on Tuesday evenings. Each week we have a number of different activities, so there is something for everyone.
For the first ten minutes of each session children choose between playing with board games such as Connect 4, Tumbling Monkeys or Twister, or doing something more energetic such as soft ball games. Then we join together for a themed talk which often involves audience participation! This is usually followed by some creative activity - arts and craft, cooking, or puzzles. The evening finishes with an organised group game.
Once in a while we do something completely different, such as a treasure hunt, party, or an outing (e.g. to the Pottery Cafe in Teddington or Feltham Tenpin Bowling).
We also sponsor a guide dog puppy and get regular news on his progress.

Adventurers (11-14s)
Tuesdays, 7:30 - 9:00 pm
Adventurers is a fun and relaxed group for young people in years 7-9. During the evening there is an opportunity to relax, chat, listen to music and play games like ping pong & pool, football and outdoor games during the summer.
Adventurers is a phone-free zone to help the young people engage more productively with each other. We also spend a short time each week looking at different topics relevant to life and faith. A couple of times a term we go on outings (e.g. bowling, swimming, ice skating), and spend some summer sessions in the local park.
